Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; |
Or nous vous faisons connaître, frères, la grâce de Dieu donnée [aux saints] dans les assemblées de la Macédoine : |

But we make known to you, brethren, the grace of God bestowed in the assemblies of Macedonia; |

How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. |
c'est que, dans une grande épreuve de tribulation, l'abondance de leur joie et leur profonde pauvreté ont abondé dans la richesse de leur libéralité. |
que en medio de la aflicción con la que han sido probados, su desbordante gozo y su profunda pobreza, abundaron en rica generosidad. |

For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; |

Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. |
nous demandant avec de grandes instances la grâce et la communion de ce service envers les saints ; |
suplicándonos con muchos ruegos el favor de participar en este servicio para los santos. |
begging of us with much entreaty to give effect to the grace and fellowship of the service which was to be rendered to the saints. |

And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. |
et non [seulement] comme nous l'avions espéré, mais ils se sont donnés premièrement eux-mêmes au Seigneur, et puis à nous, par la volonté de Dieu ; |
Y no como lo esperábamos, sino que se dieron primeramente al Señor ellos mismos y luego a nosotros, por la voluntad de Dios. |
And not according as we hoped, but they gave themselves first to the Lord, and to us by God's will. |

Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. |
de sorte que nous avons exhorté Tite, afin que, comme il l'avait auparavant commencée, ainsi aussi il achevât à votre égard cette grâce aussi. |
Así que exhortamos a Tito, que tal como había comenzado, también acabe entre vosotros esta obra de generosidad. |
So that we begged Titus that, according as he had before begun, so he would also complete as to you this grace also; |
de manera que exhortamos a Tito para que tal como comenzó antes, asimismo acabe también entre vosotros esta obra de gracia. |

Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. |
Mais comme vous abondez en toutes choses : en foi, et en parole, et en connaissance, et en toute diligence, et dans votre amour envers nous, — que vous abondiez aussi dans cette grâce. |
Pero, así como en todo abundáis: en fe, en don de palabra, en ciencia, en toda diligencia y en vuestro amor hacia nosotros, ved que también abundéis en esta gracia. |
but even as ye abound in every way, in faith, and word, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in love from you to us, that ye may abound in this grace also. |
Por tanto, como en todo abundáis, en fe, en palabra, en ciencia, en toda solicitud, y en vuestro amor para con nosotros, abundad también en esta gracia. |

I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. |
Je ne parle pas comme [donnant un] commandement, mais à cause de la diligence d'autres personnes, et pour mettre à l'épreuve la sincérité de votre amour. |
No lo digo como una orden, sino que quiero probar la sinceridad de vuestro amor, mediante el interés por los demás. |
I do not speak as commanding it , but through the zeal of others, and proving the genuineness of your love. |
No hablo como quien manda, sino para poner a prueba, por medio de la diligencia de otros, también la sinceridad del amor vuestro. |

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. |
Car vous connaissez la grâce de notre seigneur Jésus Christ, comment, étant riche, il a vécu dans la pauvreté pour vous, afin que par saa pauvreté vous fussiez enrichis. |
Porque conocéis la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que siendo rico se hizo pobre por vosotros, para que por medio de su pobreza vosotros llegaseis a ser ricos. |
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that for your sakes he, being rich, became poor, in order that *ye* by *his* poverty might be enriched. |
Porque ya conocéis la gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que por amor a vosotros se hizo pobre, siendo rico, para que vosotros con su pobreza fueseis enriquecidos. |

And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. |
Et en cela je [vous] donne un avis, car cela vous est profitable, à vous qui avez déjà commencé dès l'année passée, non seulement de faire, mais aussi de vouloir. |
Y en esto doy mi opinión, porque os conviene a vosotros, que comenzasteis el año pasado, no solo a hacer, sino a querer hacerlo. |
And I give my opinion in this, for this is profitable for you who began before, not only to do, but also to be willing, a year ago. |
Y en esto doy mi consejo; porque esto os conviene a vosotros, que comenzasteis antes, no solo a hacerlo, sino también a quererlo, desde el año pasado. |

Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. |
Or maintenant, achevez aussi de faire, de sorte que, comme vous avez été prompts à vouloir, ainsi aussi [vous soyez prompts] à achever en prenant sur ce que vous avez ; |
Ahora, acabadlo también; para que como fuisteis prontos en querer, así también lo seáis para acabarlo conforme a lo que tenéis. |
But now also complete the doing of it; so that as there was the readiness to be willing, so also to complete out of what ye have. |
Ahora, pues, llevad también a cabo el hacerlo, para que como estuvisteis prontos a querer, así también lo estéis en cumplir conforme a lo que tengáis. |

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. |
car si la promptitude à donner existe, elleb est agréable selon ce qu'on a, non selon ce qu'on n'a pas ; |
Porque cuando hay prontitud de voluntad, el don es agradable según lo que se tiene, no según lo que no se tiene. |
For if the readiness be there, a man is accepted according to what he may have, not according to what he has not. |
Porque si primero hay la voluntad dispuesta, será acepta según lo que uno tiene, no según lo que no tiene. |

For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: |
car ce n'est pas afin que d'autres soient à leur aise et que vous, vous soyez opprimés, mais sur un principe d'égalité : que dans le temps présent votre abondance [supplée] à leurs besoins, |
Porque no digo esto para que otros tengan holgura y vosotros estrechez; sino con igualdad; |
For it is not in order that there may be ease for others, and for you distress, |

But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: |
afin qu'aussi leur abondance supplée à vos besoins, de sorte qu'il y ait égalité, |
de forma que vuestra presente abundancia sirva para el alivio de su necesidad; para que la abundancia de ellos también sea para el alivio de vuestra necesidad; de modo que haya igualdad; |
but on the principle of equality; in the present time your abundance for their lack, that their abundance may be for your lack, so that there should be equality. |
sino para que en este tiempo, con igualdad, la abundancia vuestra supla la escasez de ellos, para que también la abundancia de ellos supla la necesidad vuestra, para que haya igualdad, |

As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. |
selon qu'il est écrit : «Celui qui [recueillait] beaucoup n'avait pas plusc, et celui qui [recueillait] peu n'avait pas moinsc» [Exode 16:18]. |
según está escrito: «Al que recogió mucho no le sobró; y al que poco, no escaseó.» [Éxodo 16:18] |
According as it is written, He who gathered much had no excess, and he who gathered little was nothing short. |

But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. |
Or grâces à Dieu qui met le même zèle pour vous dans le cœur de Tite ; |

For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. |
car il a reçu l'exhortation ; mais, étant très-zélé, il est allé spontanément auprès de vous. |
Porque no solo acogió nuestro ruego; sino que, solícito, de su propia iniciativa partió hacia vosotros. |
For he received indeed the entreaty, but, being full of zeal, he went of his own accord to you; |
Pues a la verdad recibió la exhortación; pero estando también muy solícito, por su propia voluntad partió para ir a vosotros. |

And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches; |
Et nous avons envoyé avec lui le frère dont la louange dans l'évangile est répandue dans toutes les assemblées |
Y enviamos con él al hermano cuya alabanza en el evangelio se ha extendido por todas las iglesias; |
but we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the glad tidings through all the assemblies; |

And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind: |
(et non seulement [cela], mais aussi il a été choisi par les assemblées pour notre compagnon de voyage, avec cette grâce qui est administrée par nous à la gloire du Seigneur lui-même, et [pour montrer] notre empressement) ; |
y no solo esto, sino que fue designado por las iglesias como nuestro compañero de viaje, para esta beneficencia que administramos para gloria del Señor y para mostrar nuestra diligencia; |
and not only so , but is also chosen by the assemblies as our fellow-traveller with this grace, ministered by us to the glory of the Lord himself, and a witness of our readiness; |
y no solo esto, sino que también fue designado por las iglesias como compañero de nuestra peregrinación para llevar este donativo, que es administrado por nosotros para gloria del Señor mismo, y para demostrar vuestra buena voluntad; |

Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us: |
évitant que personne ne nous blâme dans cette abondance qui est administrée par nous ; |
evitando que seamos censurados en lo referente a este abundante donativo que administramos; |
avoiding this, that any one should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us; |

Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. |
car nous veillons à ce qui est honnête, non seulement devant le Seigneur, mais aussi devant les hommes. |
porque procuramos hacer lo que es honrado, no solo en presencia del Señor, sino también delante de los hombres. |
for we provide for things honest, not only before the Lord, but also before men. |
procurando hacer las cosas honradamente, no solo delante del Señor sino también delante de los hombres.c |

And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you. |
Et nous avons envoyé avec eux notre frère, du zèle duquel, en plusieurs choses, nous avons souvent fait l'épreuve, et qui maintenant est beaucoup plus zélé à cause de la grande confiance qu'il a en vous. |
Y hemos enviado con ellos a nuestro hermano, de quien hemos comprobado muchas veces, en muchas cosas, que es diligente; pero ahora lo es mucho más a causa de la gran confianza que tiene en vosotros. |
And we have sent with them our brother whom we have often proved to be of diligent zeal in many things, and now more diligently zealous through the great confidence he has as to you. |
Enviamos también con ellos a nuestro hermano, cuya diligencia hemos comprobado repetidas veces en muchas cosas, y ahora mucho más diligente por la mucha confianza que tiene en vosotros. |

Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. |
Quant à Tite, il est mon associé et mon compagnon d'œuvre auprès de vous ; quant à nos frères, ils sont les envoyés des assemblées, la gloire de Christ. |
En cuanto a Tito, es mi compañero y vuestro colaborador, y en cuanto a nuestros hermanos, son los mensajeros de las iglesias y gloria de Cristo. |
Whether as regards Titus, he is my companion and fellow-labourer in your behalf; or our brethren, they are deputed messengers of assemblies, Christ's glory. |
En cuanto a Tito, es mi compañero y colaborador para con vosotros; y en cuanto a nuestros hermanos, son mensajeros de las iglesias, y gloria de Cristo. |

Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf. |
Montrez donc envers eux, devant les assemblées, la preuve de votre amour et du sujet que nous avons eu de nous glorifier de vous. |
Mostrad, pues, ante las iglesias la prueba de vuestro amor y de los motivos por los que nos hemos gloriado de vosotros. |
Shew therefore to them, before the assemblies, the proof of your love, and of our boasting about you. |
