For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. |
Car nous savons que, si notre maison terrestre qui n'est qu'une tentea, est détruite, nous avons un édifice de la part de Dieu, une maison qui n'est pas faite de main, éternelle, dans les cieux. |
Porque sabemos que si nuestra casa terrenal, esta tienda de campaña, es destruida, tenemos un edificio de Dios, una casa no hecha con manos, eterna en los cielos. |
For we know that if our earthly tabernacle house be destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. |

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: |
Car aussi, dans cette tente, nous gémissons, désirant avec ardeur d'avoir revêtu notre domicile qui est du ciel, |
Porque en esta tienda gemimos, anhelando ser revestidos de nuestra habitación celestial; |
For indeed in this we groan, ardently desiring to have put on our house which is from heaven; |
Y por esto también gemimos, deseando ser revestidos de aquella nuestra habitación celestial; |

If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. |
si toutefois, même en étant vêtus, nous ne sommes pas trouvés nus. |
de forma que, siendo vestidos, no seremos hallados desnudos. |

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. |
Car aussi nous qui sommes dans la tente, nous gémissons, étant chargés ; non pas que nous désirions d'être dépouillés, mais [nous désirons] d'être revêtus, afin que ce qui est mortel soit absorbé par la vie. |
Porque nosotros, los que estamos en esta tienda, gemimos agobiados, porque no queremos ser desvestidos, sino revestidos, para que lo mortal sea absorbido por la vida. |
For indeed we who are in the tabernacle groan, being burdened; while yet we do not wish to be unclothed, but clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. |

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. |
Or celui qui nous a formés à cela même, c'est Dieu, qui nous a aussib donné les arrhes de l'Esprit. |

Now he that has wrought us for this very thing is God, who also has given to us the earnest of the Spirit. |

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: |

Therefore we are always confident, and know that while present in the body we are absent from the Lord, |

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. |

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. |

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. |
car il faut que nous soyons tous manifestés devant le tribunal du Christ, afin que chacun reçoive les choses [accomplies] dansd le corps, selon ce qu'il aura fait, soit bien, soit mal. |
porque es necesario que todos nosotros seamos manifestados ante el tribunal de Cristo, para que cada uno reciba según lo que haya hecho en el cuerpo, sea bueno o malo. |
For we must all be manifested before the judgment-seat of the Christ, that each may receive the things done in the body, according to those he has done, whether it be good or evil. |
Porque es necesario que todos nosotros comparezcamos ante el tribunal de Cristo,a para que cada uno reciba según lo que haya hecho mientras estaba en el cuerpo, sea bueno o sea malo. |

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. |
Connaissant donc combien le Seigneur doit être crainte, nous persuadons les hommes, mais nous avons été manifestés à Dieu, et j'espère aussi que nous avons été manifestés dans vos consciences. |
Conociendo el temor del Señor, persuadimos a los hombres; pero hemos sido manifestados a Dios, y espero que hayamos sido manifestados también a vuestras conciencias. |
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men, but have been manifested to God, and I hope also that we have been manifested in your consciences. |

For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. |
Nous ne nous recommandons pas de nouveau à vous, mais nous vous donnons occasion de vous glorifier de nous, afin que vous ayez [de quoi répondre] à ceux qui se glorifient extérieurement et non pas du cœur. |
No nos recomendamos otra vez a vosotros, sino que os damos ocasión de gloriaros por nosotros, para que tengáis con qué contestar a los que se glorían en la apariencia, y no en el corazón. |
For we do not again commend ourselves to you, but we are giving to you occasion of boast in our behalf, that ye may have such with those boasting in countenance, and not in heart. |

For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. |

For whether we are beside ourselves, it is to God; or are sober, it is for you. |

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: |

For the love of the Christ constrains us, having judged this: that one died for all, then all have died; |

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. |

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. |

So that *we* henceforth know no one according to flesh; but if even we have known Christ according to flesh, yet now we know him thus no longer. |

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. |
En sorte que si quelqu'un est en Christ, c'est une nouvelle création : les choses vieilles sont passées ; voici, toutes choses sont faites nouvelles ; |

So if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold all things have become new: |

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; |

and all things are of the God who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given to us the ministry of that reconciliation: |

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. |
savoir, que Dieu était en Christ, réconciliant le monde avec lui-même, ne leur imputant pas leurs fautes et mettant en nous la parole de la réconciliation. |
a saber, que Dios estaba en Cristo reconciliando al mundo consigo mismo, no teniéndole en cuenta sus ofensas, y dándonos la palabra de la reconciliación. |
how that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their offences; and putting in us the word of that reconciliation. |

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. |

We are ambassadors therefore for Christ, God as it were beseeching by us, we entreat for Christ, Be reconciled to God. |

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. |
