Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpeh, saying, There shall not any of us give his daughter unto Benjamin to wife. |

And said, O Lord God of Israel, why is this come to pass in Israel, that there should be to day one tribe lacking in Israel? |
et dirent : Éternel, Dieu d'Israël, pourquoi ceci est-il arrivé en Israël, qu'il manque aujourd'hui à Israël une tribu ? |

And it came to pass on the morrow, that the people rose early, and built there an altar, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. |
Et le lendemain, il arriva que le peuple se leva de bonne heure et bâtit là un autel ; et ils offrirenta des holocaustes et des sacrifices de prospérités. |

And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the Lord? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the Lord to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death. |
Et les fils d'Israël dirent : Qui est celui qui n'est pas monté vers l'Éternel, dans la congrégation, d'entre toutes les tribus d'Israël ? Car unb grand serment avait été [fait] contre celui qui ne monterait pas vers l'Éternel, à Mitspa, disant : Il sera certainement mis à mort. |

And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation to Jehovah? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to Jehovah to Mizpah, saying, He shall certainly be put to death. |
Y dijeron los hijos de Israel: ¿Quién de todas las tribus de Israel no subió a la reunión delante de Jehová? Porque se había hecho gran juramento contra el que no subiese a Jehová en Mizpa, diciendo: Sufrirá la muerte. |

And the children of Israel repented them for Benjamin their brother, and said, There is one tribe cut off from Israel this day. |
Et les fils d'Israël se repentirent à l'égard de Benjamin, leur frère, et ils dirent : Une tribu a été aujourd'hui retranchée d'Israël. |

How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing we have sworn by the Lord that we will not give them of our daughters to wives? |
Que ferons-nous pour ceux qui restent, pour qu'ils aient des femmes, vu que nous avons juré par l'Éternel de ne pas leur donner de nos filles pour femmes ? |

¿Qué haremos en cuanto a mujeres para los que han quedado? Nosotros hemos jurado por Jehová que no les daremos nuestras hijas por mujeres. |

And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the Lord? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabesh–gilead to the assembly. |
Et ils dirent : Y a-t-il quelqu'un d'entre les tribus d'Israël qui ne soit pas monté vers l'Éternel à Mitspa ? Or voici, aucun homme de Jabès de Galaad n'était venu au camp, à la congrégation. |

And they said, What one is there of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpah to Jehovah? And behold, there came none to the camp from Jabesh-Gilead, to the congregation; |
Y dijeron: ¿Hay alguno de las tribus de Israel que no haya subido a Jehová en Mizpa? Y hallaron que ninguno de Jabes-galaad había venido al campamento, a la reunión. |

For the people were numbered, and, behold, there were none of the inhabitants of Jabesh–gilead there. |
Et le peuple fut dénombré : et voici, il n'y avait là aucun homme des habitants de Jabès de Galaad. |

And the congregation sent thither twelve thousand men of the valiantest, and commanded them, saying, Go and smite the inhabitants of Jabesh–gilead with the edge of the sword, with the women and the children. |
Et l'assemblée y envoya douze mille d'entre les vaillants hommes, et on leur commanda, disant : Allez, et frappez les habitants de Jabès de Galaad par le tranchant de l'épée, et les femmes et les enfants. |

Entonces la congregación envió allá a doce mil hombres de los más valientes, y les mandaron, diciendo: Id y herid a filo de espada a los moradores de Jabes-galaad, con las mujeres y niños. |

And this is the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. |
Et voici ce que vous ferez : vous exterminerez tout mâle, ainsi que toute femme qui aura eu compagnie d'homme. |

And they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh–gilead four hundred young virgins, that had known no man by lying with any male: and they brought them unto the camp to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan. |
Et ils trouvèrent parmi les habitants de Jabès de Galaad quatre cents jeunes filles vierges qui n'avaient point connu d'homme en couchant avec lui ; et ils les amenèrent dans le camp, à Silo, qui est dans le pays de Canaan. |

And they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh-Gilead four hundred young women that were virgins, who had known no man by lying with any male, and they brought them to the camp, to Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan. |
Y hallaron de los moradores de Jabes-galaad cuatrocientas doncellas que no habían conocido ayuntamiento de varón, y las trajeron al campamento en Silo, que está en la tierra de Canaán. |

And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them. |
Et toute l'assemblée envoya parler aux fils de Benjamin, qui étaient au rocher de Rimmon, et leur annonça la paix. |

And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them wives which they had saved alive of the women of Jabesh–gilead: and yet so they sufficed them not. |
Et, en ce temps-là, Benjamin revint, et on leur donna les femmes qu'on avait laissé vivre d'entre les femmes de Jabès de Galaad ; mais ainsi ils n'en trouvèrent pas assez pour eux. |

And Benjamin came again at that time; and they gave them the wives whom they had saved alive of the women of Jabesh-Gilead; but even so they found not enough for them. |
Y volvieron entonces los de Benjamín, y les dieron por mujeres las que habían guardado vivas de las mujeres de Jabes-galaad; mas no les bastaron estas. |

And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel. |
Et le peuple se repentait au sujet de Benjamin, parce que l'Éternel avait fait une brèche dans les tribus d'Israël. |

Then the elders of the congregation said, How shall we do for wives for them that remain, seeing the women are destroyed out of Benjamin? |
Et les anciens de l'assemblée dirent : Que ferons-nous pour ceux qui restent, pour qu'ils aient des femmes, car les femmes ont été détruites en Benjamin ? |

And the elders of the assembly said, What shall we do for wives for them that remain? for the women have been destroyed out of Benjamin. |
Entonces los ancianos de la congregación dijeron: ¿Qué haremos respecto de mujeres para los que han quedado? Porque fueron muertas las mujeres de Benjamín. |

And they said, There must be an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel. |
Et ils dirent : Il faut une possession pour ceux de Benjamin qui sont réchappés, afin qu'une tribu ne soit pas effacée d'Israël. |

And they said, There must be a possession for those of Benjamin that have escaped, that a tribe be not blotted out of Israel. |
Y dijeron: Tenga Benjamín herencia en los que han escapado, y no sea exterminada una tribu de Israel. |

Howbeit we may not give them wives of our daughters: for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to Benjamin. |
Et nous, nous ne pouvons pas leur donner des femmes d'entre nos filles ; car les fils d'Israël ont juré, disant : Maudit celui qui donne une femme à Benjamin ! |

But we cannot give them wives of our daughters, for the children of Israel have sworn, saying, Cursed be he that giveth a wife to the Benjaminites! |
Pero nosotros no les podemos dar mujeres de nuestras hijas, porque los hijos de Israel han jurado diciendo: Maldito el que diere mujer a los benjamitas. |

Then they said, Behold, there is a feast of the Lord in Shiloh yearly in a place which is on the north side of Beth–el, on the east side of the highway that goeth up from Beth–el to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah. |
Et ils dirent : Voici, il y a tous les ans une fête à l'Éternel à Silo, qui est au nord de Béthel, au soleil levant de la route qui monte de Béthel à Sichem, et au midi de Lebona. |

And they said, Behold, there is a feast of Jehovah from year to year in Shiloh, which is on the north side of Bethel, toward the sun-rising of the highway that goes up from Bethel to Shechem, and on the south of Lebonah. |
Ahora bien, dijeron, he aquí cada año hay fiesta solemne de Jehová en Silo, que está al norte de Bet-el, y al lado oriental del camino que sube de Bet-el a Siquem, y al sur de Lebona. |

Therefore they commanded the children of Benjamin, saying, Go and lie in wait in the vineyards; |

And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin. |
Et vous regarderez, et voici, quand les filles de Silo sortiront en chœurs pour danser, alors vous sortirez des vignes et vous ravirez pour vous, chacun sa femme d'entre les filles de Silo, et vous vous en irez dans le pays de Benjamin. |

and see, and behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in the dances, then come out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin. |
y estad atentos; y cuando veáis salir a las hijas de Silo a bailar en corros, salid de las viñas, y arrebatad cada uno mujer para sí de las hijas de Silo, e idos a tierra de Benjamín. |

And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be guilty. |
Et s'il arrive que leurs pères ou leurs frères viennent nous quereller, nous leur dirons : Usez de grâce envers nous à leur sujet, car nous n'avons pas reçu chacun sa femme par la guerre ; car ce n'est pas vous qui les leur avez données, de sorte que vous soyez coupables maintenant. |

And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come to complain to us, that we will say to them, Gratify us with them, because we did not take each man his wife in the war; for ye did not give them to them, that ye should now be guilty. |
Y si vinieren los padres de ellas o sus hermanos a demandárnoslas, nosotros les diremos: Hacednos la merced de concedérnoslas, pues que nosotros en la guerra no tomamos mujeres para todos; además, no sois vosotros los que se las disteis, para que ahora seáis culpados. |

And the children of Benjamin did so, and took them wives, according to their number, of them that danced, whom they caught: and they went and returned unto their inheritance, and repaired the cities, and dwelt in them. |
Et les fils de Benjamin firent ainsi, et enlevèrent des femmes selon leur nombre, d'entre les danseuses dont ils s'emparèrent ; et ils s'en allèrent et retournèrent dans leur héritage, et rebâtirent les villes et y habitèrent. |
