But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the Lord was kindled against the children of Israel. |
☆ Mais les fils d'Israël commirent un crimea au sujet de l'anathème : Acan, fils de Carmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zérakh, de la tribu de Juda, prit de l'anathème ; et la colère de l'Éternel s'embrasa contre les fils d'Israël. |

But the children of Israel committed unfaithfulness in that which had been brought under the curse: Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing; and the anger of Jehovah was kindled against the children of Israel. |
Pero los hijos de Israel cometieron una prevaricación en cuanto al anatema; porque Acán hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá, tomó del anatema; y la ira de Jehová se encendió contra los hijos de Israel. |

And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth–aven, on the east side of Beth–el, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai. |
Or Josué envoya de Jéricho des hommes vers Aï, qui est près de Beth-Aven, à l'orient de Béthel, et leur parla, disant : Montez, et explorez le pays. Et les hommes montèrent, et explorèrent Aï. |

And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth-Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, Go up and spy out the country. And the men went up and spied out Ai. |
Después Josué envió hombres desde Jericó a Hai, que estaba junto a Bet-avén hacia el oriente de Bet-el; y les habló diciendo: Subid y reconoced la tierra. Y ellos subieron y reconocieron a Hai. |

And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. |
Et ils retournèrent vers Josué, et lui dirent : Que tout le peuple ne monte point ; que deux mille ou trois mille hommes environ montent, et ils frapperont Aï. Ne fatigue pas tout le peuple [en l'envoyant] là ; car ils sont peu nombreux. |

And they returned to Joshua, and said to him, Let not all the people go up; let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; make not all the people to toil thither, for they are few. |
Y volviendo a Josué, le dijeron: No suba todo el pueblo, sino suban como dos mil o tres mil hombres, y tomarán a Hai; no fatigues a todo el pueblo yendo allí, porque son pocos. |

So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai. |
Et il y monta du peuple environ trois mille hommes ; mais ils s'enfuirent devant les hommes d'Aï. |

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. |
Et les hommes d'Aï en frappèrent environ trente-six hommes, et ils les poursuivirent depuis la porte jusqu'à Shebarim, et les battirent à la descente ; et le cœur du peuple se fondit et devint comme de l'eau. |

And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty-six men; and they pursued them from before the gate to Shebarim, and smote them on the descent. Then the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. |
Y los de Hai mataron de ellos a unos treinta y seis hombres, y los siguieron desde la puerta hasta Sebarim, y los derrotaron en la bajada; por lo cual el corazón del pueblo desfalleció y vino a ser como agua. |

And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the Lord until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads. |
Et Josué déchira ses vêtements, et tomba sur sa face contre terre, devant l'arche de l'Éternel, jusqu'au soir, lui et les anciens d'Israël, et ils jetèrent de la poussière sur leurs têtes. |

And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of Jehovah until the evening, he and the elders of Israel, and threw dust upon their heads. |
Entonces Josué rompió sus vestidos, y se postró en tierra sobre su rostro delante del arca de Jehová hasta caer la tarde, él y los ancianos de Israel; y echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas. |

And Joshua said, Alas, O Lord God, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? would to God we had been content, and dwelt on the other side Jordan! |
Et Josué dit : Hélas, Seigneur Éternel ! pourquoi donc as-tu fait passer le Jourdain à ce peuple, pour nous livrer en la main de l'Amoréen, pour nous faire périr ? Si seulement nous avions su être contents, et que nous fussions demeurés au delà du Jourdain ! |

And Joshua said, Alas, Lord Jehovah, wherefore hast thou at all brought this people over the Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Oh that we had been content and had remained beyond the Jordan! |
Y Josué dijo: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! ¿Por qué hiciste pasar a este pueblo el Jordán, para entregarnos en las manos de los amorreos, para que nos destruyan? ¡Ojalá nos hubiéramos quedado al otro lado del Jordán! |

O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies! |
Hélas, Seigneur ! que dirai-je, après qu'Israël a tourné le dosb devant ses ennemis ? |

Ah Lord! what shall I say after Israel have turned their backs before their enemies? |
¡Ay, Señor! ¿qué diré, ya que Israel ha vuelto la espalda delante de sus enemigos? |

For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name? |
Le Cananéen et tous les habitants du pays l'entendront, et nous envelopperont, et ils retrancheront notre nom de dessus la terre ; et que feras-tu pour ton grand nom ? |

When the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it , they will surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. And what wilt thou do unto thy great name? |
Porque los cananeos y todos los moradores de la tierra oirán, y nos rodearán, y borrarán nuestro nombre de sobre la tierra; y entonces, ¿qué harás tú a tu grande nombre? |

And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? |
Et l'Éternel dit à Josué : Lève-toi ; pourquoi te jettes-tu ainsi sur ta face ? |

And Jehovah said to Joshua, Rise up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? |
Y Jehová dijo a Josué: Levántate; ¿por qué te postras así sobre tu rostro? |

Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. |
Israël a péché, et même ils ont transgressé mon alliance que je leur avais commandée, et même ils ont pris de l'anathème, et même ils ont volé, et même ils ont menti, et ils l'ont aussi mis dans leur bagage. |

Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you. |
Et les fils d'Israël ne pourront subsister devant leurs ennemis, ils tourneront le dosb devant leurs ennemis ; car ils sont devenus anathème. Je ne serai plus avec vous si vous ne détruisez pas l'anathème du milieu de vous. |

And the children of Israel shall not be able to stand before their enemies: they shall turn their backs before their enemies, for they have made themselves accursed. I will no more be with you, except ye destroy the accursed thing from your midst. |
Por esto los hijos de Israel no podrán hacer frente a sus enemigos, sino que delante de sus enemigos volverán la espalda, por cuanto han venido a ser anatema; ni estaré más con vosotros, si no destruyereis el anatema de en medio de vosotros. |

Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. |
Lève-toi, sanctifie le peuple, et dis : Sanctifiez-vous pour demain ; car ainsi a dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Il y a de l'anathème au milieu de toi, Israël ; tu ne pourras pas subsister devant tes ennemis, jusqu'à ce que vous ayez ôté l'anathème du milieu de vous. |

Rise up, hallow the people, and say, Hallow yourselves for to-morrow; for thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, Israel: thou shalt not be able to stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from your midst. |
Levántate, santifica al pueblo, y di: Santificaos para mañana; porque Jehová el Dios de Israel dice así: Anatema hay en medio de ti, Israel; no podrás hacer frente a tus enemigos, hasta que hayáis quitado el anatema de en medio de vosotros. |

In the morning therefore ye shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the Lord taketh shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the Lord shall take shall come by households; and the household which the Lord shall take shall come man by man. |
Vous vous approcherez le matin, selon vos tribus ; et il arrivera que la tribu que l'Éternel prendra s'approchera, par familles ; et la famille que l'Éternel prendra s'approchera par maisons ; et la maison que l'Éternel prendra s'approchera par hommes : |

And ye shall be brought near in the morning according to your tribes; and it shall be, that the tribe which Jehovah taketh shall come forward by families, and the family which Jehovah taketh shall come forward by households; and the household which Jehovah taketh shall come forward man by man. |
Os acercaréis, pues, mañana por vuestras tribus; y la tribu que Jehová tomare, se acercará por sus familias; y la familia que Jehová tomare, se acercará por sus casas; y la casa que Jehová tomare, se acercará por los varones; |

And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the covenant of the Lord, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. |
et il arrivera que celui qui aura été pris avec de l'anathème sera brûlé au feu, lui et tout ce qui est à lui ; car il a transgressé l'alliance de l'Éternel, et il a commis une iniquitéc en Israël. |

And it shall be, that he who is taken with the accursed thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he hath, because he hath transgressed the covenant of Jehovah, and because he hath wrought wickedness in Israel. |
y el que fuere sorprendido en el anatema, será quemado, él y todo lo que tiene, por cuanto ha quebrantado el pacto de Jehová, y ha cometido maldad en Israel. |

So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah was taken: |
Et Josué se leva de bonne heure le matin, et fit approcher Israël selon ses tribus ; et la tribu de Juda fut prise. |

And Joshua rose early in the morning, and caused Israel to come forward by their tribes, and the tribe of Judah was taken. |
Josué, pues, levantándose de mañana, hizo acercar a Israel por sus tribus; y fue tomada la tribu de Judá. |

And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi was taken: |
Et il fit approcher les familles de Juda ; et il prit la famille des Zarkhites. Et il fit approcher la famille des Zarkhites par hommes ; et Zabdi fut pris. |

And he caused the families of Judah to come forward, and he took the family of the Zarhites. And he caused the family of the Zarhites to come forward man by man, and Zabdi was taken. |
Y haciendo acercar a la tribu de Judá, fue tomada la familia de los de Zera; y haciendo luego acercar a la familia de los de Zera por los varones, fue tomado Zabdi. |

And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. |
Et il fit approcher sa maison par hommes ; et Acan, fils de Carmi, fils de Zabdi, fils de Zérakh, de la tribu de Juda, fut pris. |

And he caused his household to come forward man by man, and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken. |
Hizo acercar su casa por los varones, y fue tomado Acán hijo de Carmi, hijo de Zabdi, hijo de Zera, de la tribu de Judá. |

And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the Lord God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me. |
Et Josué dit à Acan : Mon fils je te prie donne gloire à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, et rends-lui louange ; et déclare-moi, je te prie, ce que tu as fait ; ne me le cache pas. |

And Joshua said to Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Jehovah the God of Israel, and make confession to him: tell me now what thou hast done, keep it not back from me. |
Entonces Josué dijo a Acán: Hijo mío, da gloria a Jehová el Dios de Israel, y dale alabanza, y declárame ahora lo que has hecho; no me lo encubras. |

And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the Lord God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: |
Et Acan répondit à Josué et dit : En vérité, j'ai péché contre l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, et j'ai fait telle et telle chose : |

And Achan answered Joshua and said, Indeed I have sinned against Jehovah the God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done. |
Y Acán respondió a Josué diciendo: Verdaderamente yo he pecado contra Jehová el Dios de Israel, y así y así he hecho. |

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. |
j'ai vu parmi le butin un beau manteau de Shinhar, et deux cents sicles d'argent, et un lingot d'or du poids de cinquante sicles ; je les ai convoités, et je les ai pris ; et voilà, ils sont cachés dans la terre, au milieu de ma tente, et l'argent est dessous. |

I saw among the spoils a beautiful mantle of Shinar, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a golden bar of fifty shekels weight, and I coveted them and took them; and behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it. |
Pues vi entre los despojos un manto babilónico muy bueno, y doscientos siclos de plata, y un lingote de oro de peso de cincuenta siclos, lo cual codicié y tomé; y he aquí que está escondido bajo tierra en medio de mi tienda, y el dinero debajo de ello. |

So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it was hid in his tent, and the silver under it. |
Et Josué envoya des messagers qui coururent à la tente, et voici, [le manteau] était caché dans la tente d'Acand, et l'argent dessous. |

And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before the Lord. |
Et ils les prirent du milieu de la tente, et les apportèrent à Josué et à tous les fils d'Israël, et les déposèrent devant l'Éternel. |

And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. |
Alors Josué et tout Israël avec lui prirent Acan, fils de Zérakh, et l'argent, et le manteau, et le lingot d'or, et ses fils, et ses filles, et ses bœufs, et ses ânes, et son menu bétail, et sa tente, et tout ce qui était à lui, et les firent monter dans la vallée d'Acor. |

Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the mantle, and the bar of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up into the valley of Achor. |
Entonces Josué, y todo Israel con él, tomaron a Acán hijo de Zera, el dinero, el manto, el lingote de oro, sus hijos, sus hijas, sus bueyes, sus asnos, sus ovejas, su tienda y todo cuanto tenía, y lo llevaron todo al valle de Acor. |

And Joshua said, Why hast thou troubled us? the Lord shall trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones, and burned them with fire, after they had stoned them with stones. |
Et Josué dit : Comme tu nous as troublés ! L'Éternel te troublera en ce jour. Et tout Israël le lapida avec des pierres, et ils les brûlèrent au feu et les assommèrent avec des pierres. |

And Joshua said, How hast thou troubled us! Jehovah will trouble thee this day. And all Israel stoned him with stones; and they burned them with fire, and stoned them with stones. |
Y le dijo Josué: ¿Por qué nos has turbado? Túrbete Jehová en este día. Y todos los israelitas los apedrearon, y los quemaron después de apedrearlos. |

And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the Lord turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. |
Et ils élevèrent sur lui un grand monceau de pierres, [qui est demeuré] jusqu'à ce jour. Et l'Éternel revint de l'ardeur de sa colère. C'est pourquoi on a appelé le nom de ce lieu-là la vallée d'Acore, jusqu'à ce jour. |

And they raised over him a great heap of stones, which is there to this day. And Jehovah turned from the fierceness of his anger. Therefore the name of that place was called, The Valley of Achor, to this day. |
Y levantaron sobre él un gran montón de piedras, que permanece hasta hoy. Y Jehová se volvió del ardor de su ira. Y por esto aquel lugar se llama el Valle de Acor,a hasta hoy. |
