Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath. |

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left. |

And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of the Lord, saying, |
Et il arriva, la dix-huitième année du roi Josias,b que le roi envoya Shaphan, le scribe, fils d'Atsalia, fils de Meshullam, à la maison de l'Éternel, disant : |

And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah, son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of Jehovah, saying, |

Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the silver which is brought into the house of the Lord, which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people: |
Monte vers Hilkija, le grand sacrificateur, et qu'on relève l'argent qui a été apporté dans la maison de l'Éternel [et] que les gardiens du seuil ont recueilli de la part du peuple ; |

Go up to Hilkijah the high priest, that he may sum up the money which is brought into the house of Jehovah, which the doorkeepers have gathered of the people, |
Ve al sumo sacerdote Hilcías, y dile que recoja el dinero que han traído a la casa de Jehová, que han recogido del pueblo los guardianes de la puerta, |

And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord: and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the Lord, to repair the breaches of the house, |
et qu'on le remette en la main de ceux qui font l'ouvrage, qui sont préposés [sur le travail] dans la maison de l'Éternel ; et que ceux-ci le remettent à ceux qui font l'ouvrage dans la maison de l'Éternel, pour réparer les brèches de la maison : |

and let them give it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah; and let them give it to those that do the work in the house of Jehovah, to repair the breaches of the house, |
y que lo pongan en manos de los que hacen la obra, que tienen a su cargo el arreglo de la casa de Jehová, y que lo entreguen a los que hacen la obra de la casa de Jehová, para reparar las grietas de la casa; |

Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house. |
aux charpentiers, et aux constructeurs, et aux maçons, et afin d'acheter des bois et des pierres de taille, pour réparer la maison ; |

Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully. |
toutefois qu'on ne compte pas avec eux l'argent remis entre leurs mains, car ils agissent avec fidélité. |

And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it. |
Et Hilkija, le grand sacrificateur, dit à Shaphan, le scribe : J'ai trouvé le livre de la loi dans la maison de l'Éternel. Et Hilkija donna le livre à Shaphan, et il le lut. |

And Hilkijah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of Jehovah. And Hilkijah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it. |
Entonces dijo el sumo sacerdote Hilcías al escriba Safán: He hallado el libro de la ley en la casa de Jehová. E Hilcías dio el libro a Safán, y lo leyó. |

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord. |
Et Shaphan, le scribe, vint vers le roi, et rendit compte au roi, et dit : Tes serviteurs ont versé l'argent qui s'est trouvé dans la maison, et l'ont remis entre les mains de ceux qui font l'ouvrage, qui sont préposés [sur le travail] dans la maison de l'Éternel. |

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again and said, Thy servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah. |
Viniendo luego el escriba Safán al rey, dio cuenta al rey y dijo: Tus siervos han recogido el dinero que se halló en el templo, y lo han entregado en poder de los que hacen la obra, que tienen a su cargo el arreglo de la casa de Jehová. |

And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king. |
Et Shaphan, le scribe, raconta au roi, disant : Hilkija, le sacrificateur, m'a donné un livre. Et Shaphan le lut devant le roi. |

And Shaphan the scribe informed the king saying, Hilkijah the priest has given me a book. And Shaphan read it before the king. |
Asimismo el escriba Safán declaró al rey, diciendo: El sacerdote Hilcías me ha dado un libro. Y lo leyó Safán delante del rey. |

And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes. |
Et il arriva que, quand le roi entendit les paroles du livre de la loi, il déchira ses vêtements. |

Y cuando el rey hubo oído las palabras del libro de la ley, rasgó sus vestidos. |

And the king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Michaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah a servant of the king’s, saying, |
Et le roi commanda à Hilkija, le sacrificateur, et à Akhikam, fils de Shaphan, et à Acbor, fils de Michée, et à Shaphan, le scribe, et à Asçaïa, serviteur du roi, disant : |

And the king commanded Hilkijah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah a servant of the king, saying, |
Luego el rey dio orden al sacerdote Hilcías, a Ahicam hijo de Safán, a Acbor hijo de Micaías, al escriba Safán y a Asaías siervo del rey, diciendo: |

Go ye, enquire of the Lord for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found: for great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book, to do according unto all that which is written concerning us. |
Allez, consultez l'Éternel pour moi, et pour le peuple, et pour tout Juda, touchant les paroles de ce livre qui a été trouvé ; car grande est la fureur de l'Éternel, qui s'est allumée contre nous, parce que nos pères n'ont pas écouté les paroles de ce livre, pour faire selon tout ce qui y est écrit pour nous. |

Go, inquire of Jehovah for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book which is found; for great is the wrath of Jehovah that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not hearkened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written there for us. |
Id y preguntad a Jehová por mí, y por el pueblo, y por todo Judá, acerca de las palabras de este libro que se ha hallado; porque grande es la ira de Jehová que se ha encendido contra nosotros, por cuanto nuestros padres no escucharon las palabras de este libro, para hacer conforme a todo lo que nos fue escrito. |

So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her. |
Et Hilkija, le sacrificateur, et Akhikam, et Acbor, et Shaphan, et Asçaïa, allèrent vers Hulda, la prophétesse, femme de Shallum, fils de Thikva, fils de Harkhas, qui avait la garde des vêtements ; et elle habitait à Jérusalem dans le second quartier de la ville ; et ils lui parlèrent. |

And Hilkijah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe: now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the second quarter of the town ; and they spoke with her. |
Entonces fueron el sacerdote Hilcías, y Ahicam, Acbor, Safán y Asaías, a la profetisa Hulda, mujer de Salum hijo de Ticva, hijo de Harhas, guarda de las vestiduras, la cual moraba en Jerusalén en la segunda parte de la ciudad, y hablaron con ella. |

And she said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me, |
Et elle leur dit : Ainsi dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël : Dites à l'homme qui vous a envoyés vers moi : |

And she said to them, Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel: Tell the man that sent you to me, |
Y ella les dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: Decid al varón que os envió a mí: |

Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read: |
Ainsi dit l'Éternel : Voici, je fais venir du mal sur ce lieu et sur ses habitants, toutes les paroles du livre qu'a lu le roi de Juda. |

Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will bring evil upon this place and upon the inhabitants thereof, all the words of the book that the king of Judah hath read. |
Así dijo Jehová: He aquí yo traigo sobre este lugar, y sobre los que en él moran, todo el mal de que habla este libro que ha leído el rey de Judá; |

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched. |
Parce qu'ils m'ont abandonné et qu'ils ont brûlé de l'encens à d'autres dieux, pour me provoquer à colère par toute l'œuvre de leurs mains, ma fureur s'est allumée contre ce lieu, et elle ne s'éteindra point. |

Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my fury is kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched. |
por cuanto me dejaron a mí, y quemaron incienso a dioses ajenos, provocándome a ira con toda la obra de sus manos; mi ira se ha encendido contra este lugar, y no se apagará. |

But to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the Lord, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard; |
Et au roi de Juda, qui vous a envoyés pour consulter l'Éternel, vous lui direz ainsi : Ainsi dit l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, quant aux paroles que tu as entendues : |

But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of Jehovah, thus shall ye say to him: Thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel touching the words which thou hast heard: |
Mas al rey de Judá que os ha enviado para que preguntaseis a Jehová, diréis así: Así ha dicho Jehová el Dios de Israel: Por cuanto oíste las palabras del libro, |

Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the Lord, when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the Lord. |
Parce que ton cœur a été sensible, et que tu t'es humilié devant l'Éternel quand tu as entendu ce que j'ai prononcé contre ce lieu et contre ses habitants, [savoir] qu'ils seraient [livrés] à la destructionc et à la malédiction, et parce que tu as déchiré tes vêtements et que tu as pleuré devant moi, moi aussi j'ai entendu, dit l'Éternel. |

Because thy heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before Jehovah, when thou heardest what I spoke against this place and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and didst rend thy garments and weep before me, I also have heard thee , saith Jehovah. |
y tu corazón se enterneció, y te humillaste delante de Jehová, cuando oíste lo que yo he pronunciado contra este lugar y contra sus moradores, que vendrán a ser asolados y malditos, y rasgaste tus vestidos, y lloraste en mi presencia, también yo te he oído, dice Jehová. |

Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again. |
C'est pourquoi, voici, je vais te recueillir auprès de tes pères, et tu seras recueilli en paix dans tes sépulcres, et tes yeux ne verront pas tout le mal que je fais venir sur ce lieu. Et ils rapportèrent au roi cette parole. |

Therefore, behold, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered to thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil that I will bring upon this place. And they brought the king word again. |
Por tanto, he aquí yo te recogeré con tus padres, y serás llevado a tu sepulcro en paz, y no verán tus ojos todo el mal que yo traigo sobre este lugar. Y ellos dieron al rey la respuesta. |
