And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. |

And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Beth–el. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Beth–el. |

And the sons of the prophets that were at Beth–el came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. |
Et les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Béthel sortirent vers Élisée, et lui dirent : Sais-tu qu'aujourd'hui l'Éternel va enlever ton maître d'au-dessus de ta tête ? Et il dit : Je le sais, moi aussi ; taisez-vous. |

And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said to him, Dost thou know that Jehovah will take away thy master from over thy head to-day? And he said, I also know it: be silent! |
Y saliendo a Eliseo los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Bet-el, le dijeron: ¿Sabes que Jehová te quitará hoy a tu señor de sobre ti? Y él dijo: Sí, yo lo sé; callad. |

And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan. |

And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. |
Et il arriva, quand ils eurent passé, qu'Élie dit à Élisée : Demande ce que je ferai pour toi avant que je sois enlevé d'avec toi. Et Élisée dit : Qu'il y ait, je te prie, une double mesure de ton esprit sur moi. |

And it came to pass when they had gone over, that Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I am taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. |
Cuando habían pasado, Elías dijo a Eliseo: Pide lo que quieras que haga por ti, antes que yo sea quitado de ti. Y dijo Eliseo: Te ruego que una doble porcióna de tu espíritu sea sobre mí. |

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. |
Et il dit : Tu as demandé une chose difficile ; si tu me vois [quand je serai] enlevé d'avec toi, il en sera ainsi pour toi ; sinon, cela ne sera pas. |

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. |
Et il arriva, comme ils allaient marchant et parlant, que voici un char de feu et des chevaux de feu ; et ils les séparèrent l'un de l'autre ; et Élie monta aux cieux dans un tourbillon. |

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. |
Et Élisée le vit, et s'écria : Mon père ! mon père ! Char d'Israël et sa cavalerie ! Et il ne le vit plus. Et il saisit ses vêtements et les déchira en deux pièces ; |

Viéndolo Eliseo, clamaba: ¡Padre mío, padre mío, carro de Israel y su gente de a caballo!b Y nunca más le vio; y tomando sus vestidos, los rompió en dos partes. |

He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; |
et il releva le manteau d'Élie qui était tombé de dessus lui, et s'en retourna, et se tint sur le bord du Jourdain ; |

And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. |
et il prit le manteau d'Élie qui était tombé de dessus lui, et frappa les eaux, et dit : Où est l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Élie ? — Lui aussi frappa les eaux, et elles se divisèrent deçà et delà ; et Élisée passa. |

and he took the mantle of Elijah which had fallen from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is Jehovah, the God of Elijah? He also smote the waters, and they parted hither and thither, and Elisha went over. |
Y tomando el manto de Elías que se le había caído, golpeó las aguas, y dijo: ¿Dónde está Jehová, el Dios de Elías? Y así que hubo golpeado del mismo modo las aguas, se apartaron a uno y a otro lado, y pasó Eliseo. |

And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him. |
Et les fils des prophètes qui étaient à Jéricho, vis-à-vis, le virent, et ils dirent : L'esprit d'Élie repose sur Élisée. Et ils allèrent à sa rencontre, et se prosternèrent devant lui en terre, et lui dirent : |

And the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho on the opposite side saw him, and they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him, |
Viéndole los hijos de los profetas que estaban en Jericó al otro lado, dijeron: El espíritu de Elías reposó sobre Eliseo. Y vinieron a recibirle, y se postraron delante de él. |

And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the Lord hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send. |
Voici, il y a avec tes serviteurs cinquante hommes, des hommes vaillants ; qu'ils aillent, nous te prions, et qu'ils cherchent ton maître : l'Esprit de l'Éternel l'aura peut-être emporté et l'aura jeté sur quelque montagne ou dans quelque vallée. Et il dit : N'y envoyez pas. |

and said to him, Behold now, there are with thy servants fifty valiant men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master, lest perhaps the Spirit of Jehovah have taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some ravine. And he said, Ye shall not send. |
Y dijeron: He aquí hay con tus siervos cincuenta varones fuertes; vayan ahora y busquen a tu señor; quizá lo ha levantado el Espíritu de Jehová, y lo ha echado en algún monte o en algún valle. Y él les dijo: No enviéis. |

And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not. |
Et ils le pressèrent jusqu'à ce qu'il en fut honteux. Et il [leur] dit : Envoyez. Et ils envoyèrent cinquante hommes ; et ils cherchèrent trois jours, et ne le trouvèrent pas. |

And they pressed him till he was ashamed, and he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men, and they sought three days, but did not find him. |
Mas ellos le importunaron, hasta que avergonzándose dijo: Enviad. Entonces ellos enviaron cincuenta hombres, los cuales lo buscaron tres días, mas no lo hallaron. |

And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not? |
Et ils retournèrent vers Éliséea (il habitait à Jéricho) ; et il leur dit : Ne vous avais-je pas dit : N'y allez pas ? |

And they came again to him (now he was staying at Jericho); and he said to them, Did I not say to you, Go not? |
Y cuando volvieron a Eliseo, que se había quedado en Jericó, él les dijo: ¿No os dije yo que no fueseis? |

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren. |
Et les hommes de la ville dirent à Élisée : Tu vois queb l'emplacement de la ville est bon, comme mon seigneur le voit ; mais les eaux sont mauvaises, et la terre est stérile. |

And the men of the city said to Elisha, Behold now, the situation of the city is good, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the land is barren. |
Y los hombres de la ciudad dijeron a Eliseo: He aquí, el lugar en donde está colocada esta ciudad es bueno, como mi señor ve; mas las aguas son malas, y la tierra es estéril. |

And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. |
Et il dit : Apportez-moi un vase neuf, et mettez-y du sel. Et ils le lui apportèrent. |

And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. |
Et il sortit vers le lieu d'où sortaient les eaux, et y jeta le sel, et dit : Ainsi dit l'Éternel : J'ai assaini ces eaux ; il ne proviendra plus d'ici ni mort ni stérilité. |

And he went forth to the source of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith Jehovah: I have healed these waters: there shall not be from thence any more death or barrenness. |
Y saliendo él a los manantiales de las aguas, echó dentro la sal, y dijo: Así ha dicho Jehová: Yo sané estas aguas, y no habrá más en ellas muerte ni enfermedad. |

So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. |

And he went up from thence unto Beth–el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. |
Et il monta de là à Béthel ; et, comme il montait par le chemin, des petits garçons sortirent de la ville, et se moquèrent de lui, et lui dirent : Monte, chauve ! monte, chauve ! |

And he went up from thence to Bethel, and as he went up by the way, there came forth little boys out of the city, and mocked him, and said to him, Go up, bald head; go up, bald head! |
Después subió de allí a Bet-el; y subiendo por el camino, salieron unos muchachos de la ciudad, y se burlaban de él, diciendo: ¡Calvo, sube! ¡calvo, sube! |

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. |
Et il se tourna en arrière et les vit, et il les maudit au nom de l'Éternel. Et deux ourses sortirent de la forêt, et déchirèrent d'entre eux quarante-deux enfants. |

And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of Jehovah. And there came forth two she-bears out of the wood, and tore forty-two children of them. |
Y mirando él atrás, los vio, y los maldijo en el nombre de Jehová. Y salieron dos osos del monte, y despedazaron de ellos a cuarenta y dos muchachos. |
