Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esar–haddon king of Assur, which brought us up hither. |
et ils s'approchèrent de Zorobabel et des chefs des pères, et leur dirent : Nous bâtirons avec vous, car nous recherchons votre Dieu, comme vous, et nous lui offrons des sacrifices depuis les jours d'Ésar-Haddon, roi d'Assyrie, qui nous a fait monter ici. |

and they came to Zerubbabel and to the chief fathers, and said to them, We would build with you; for we seek your God, as ye; and we have sacrificed to him since the days of Esar-haddon king of Assyria, who brought us up hither. |

But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel, as king Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us. |
Et Zorobabel, et Jéshua, et le reste des chefs des pères d'Israël, leur dirent : Vous n'avez pas affaire avec nous pour bâtir une maison à notre Dieu, mais nous seuls, nous bâtirons à l'Éternel, le Dieu d'Israël, comme nous l'a commandé le roi Cyrus, roi de Perse. |

But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the chief fathers of Israel said to them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build a house to our God, but we alone will build to Jehovah the God of Israel, as king Cyrus, the king of Persia, has commanded us. |
Zorobabel, Jesúa, y los demás jefes de casas paternas de Israel dijeron: No nos conviene edificar con vosotros casa a nuestro Dios, sino que nosotros solos la edificaremos a Jehová Dios de Israel, como nos mandó el rey Ciro, rey de Persia. |

et ils leur firent peur de bâtir, et ils soudoyèrent contre eux des conseillers pour faire échouer leur plan, durant tous les jours de Cyrus, roi de Perse, et jusqu'au règne de Darius, roi de Perse. |

And in the days of Artaxerxes wrote Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of their companions, unto Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in the Syrian tongue, and interpreted in the Syrian tongue. |
Et aux jours d'Artaxerxès,b Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeël et le reste de ses collègues, écrivirent à Artaxerxès, roi de Perse ; et la lettre était écrite en écriture syriaque et traduite en syriaque : |

And in the days of Artaxerxes, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabeel, and the rest of his companions, wrote to Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the writing of the letter was written in Aramaic, and interpreted in Aramaic. |
También en días de Artajerjes escribieron Bislam, Mitrídates, Tabeel y los demás compañeros suyos, a Artajerjes rey de Persia; y la escritura y el lenguaje de la carta eran en arameo. |

et le reste des peuplades que le grand et noble Osnappar transporta et fit habiter dans les villesc de Samarie et dans le reste [du pays] de ce côté du fleuved, etc… |

and the rest of the peoples whom the great and noble Osnappar brought over and settled in the cities of Samaria, and the rest of the country on this side the river, and so forth. |
y los demás pueblos que el grande y glorioso Asnapar transportó e hizo habitar en las ciudades de Samaria y las demás provincias del otro lado del río. |

Be it known unto the king, that the Jews which came up from thee to us are come unto Jerusalem, building the rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the foundations. |
Que le roi sache que les Juifs qui sont montés de chez toi vers nous [et] sont venus à Jérusalem, bâtissent la ville rebelle et méchante, et que les murailles s'achèvent, et qu'ils restaurente les fondements. |

Be it known to the king that the Jews who came up from thee unto us have come to Jerusalem; they are building the rebellious and the bad city, and they complete the walls and join up the foundations. |
Sea notorio al rey, que los judíos que subieron de ti a nosotros vinieron a Jerusalén; y edifican la ciudad rebelde y mala, y levantan los muros y reparan los fundamentos. |

Be it known now unto the king, that, if this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings. |
Que le roi sache donc que si cette ville est bâtie et que ses murailles s'achèvent, ils ne payeront ni tribut, ni impôt, ni péage, et, plus tard, cela portera préjudice aux rois. |

Be it known therefore unto the king, that, if this city be built and the walls be completed, they will not pay tribute, tax, and toll, and in the end it will bring damage to the kings. |
Ahora sea notorio al rey, que si aquella ciudad fuere reedificada, y los muros fueren levantados, no pagarán tributo, impuesto y rentas, y el erario de los reyes será menoscabado. |

Now because we have maintenance from the king’s palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king’s dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king; |
Or comme nous mangeonsf le sel du palais, et qu'il n'était pas convenable pour nous de voir qu'on faisait tort au roi, à cause de cela nous avons envoyé et nous avons informé le roi, |

Now, since we eat the salt of the palace, and it is not right for us to see the king's injury, therefore have we sent and informed the king; |
Siendo que nos mantienen del palacio, no nos es justo ver el menosprecio del rey, por lo cual hemos enviado a hacerlo saber al rey, |

That search may be made in the book of the records of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the records, and know that this city is a rebellious city, and hurtful unto kings and provinces, and that they have moved sedition within the same of old time: for which cause was this city destroyed. |
afin qu'on cherche dans le livre des annales de tes pères : et tu trouveras dans le livre des annales et tu sauras que cette ville est une ville rebelle, et qu'elle a porté préjudice aux rois et aux provinces, et que, dès les jours anciens, on y a fait des séditions ; c'est pourquoi cette ville a été détruite. |

that search may be made in the book of the annals of thy fathers: so shalt thou find in the book of the annals and know that this city is a rebellious city, which has done damage to kings and provinces, and that they have raised sedition within the same of old time, for which cause this city was destroyed. |
para que se busque en el libro de las memorias de tus padres. Hallarás en el libro de las memorias, y sabrás que esta ciudad es ciudad rebelde, y perjudicial a los reyes y a las provincias, y que de tiempo antiguo forman en medio de ella rebeliones, por lo que esta ciudad fue destruida. |

We certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river. |
Nous faisons savoir au roi que si cette ville est rebâtie et que ses murailles s'achèvent, à cause de cela, tu n'auras plus de possessiong de ce côté du fleuve. |

Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time. |
Le roi envoya un rescrit à Rehum, chancelier, et à Shimshaï, secrétaire, et au reste de leurs collègues qui habitaient à Samarie, et dans le reste [du pays] de l'autre côté du fleuve : Paix, etc. |

The king sent an answer to Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and the other places beyond the river: Peace, and so forth. |
El rey envió esta respuesta: A Rehum canciller, a Simsai secretario, a los demás compañeros suyos que habitan en Samaria, y a los demás del otro lado del río: Salud y paz. |

And I commanded, and search hath been made, and it is found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been made therein. |
Et de par moi un ordre a été donné, et on a cherché, et on a trouvé que, dès les jours anciens, cette ville s'est soulevée contre les rois, et qu'il s'y est fait des révoltes et des séditions, |

And I gave orders, and search has been made, and it has been found that this city of old time has made insurrection against the kings, and that rebellion and sedition have been raised therein. |
Y por mí fue dada orden y buscaron; y hallaron que aquella ciudad de tiempo antiguo se levanta contra los reyes y se rebela, y se forma en ella sedición; |

There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them. |
et qu'il y a eu sur Jérusalem de puissants rois qui ont régné sur tout ce qui est de l'autre côté du fleuve, et que le tribut, l'impôt, et le péage leur ont été payés. |

And there have been mighty kings over Jerusalem, who have ruled over all beyond the river; and tribute, tax, and toll were paid to them. |
y que hubo en Jerusalén reyes fuertes que dominaron en todo lo que hay más allá del río, y que se les pagaba tributo, impuesto y rentas. |

Give ye now commandment to cause these men to cease, and that this city be not builded, until another commandment shall be given from me. |
Ainsi, donnez ordre de faire cesser ces hommes, et que cette ville ne soit pas bâtie, jusqu'à ce que l'ordre en soit donné de par moi. |

Take heed now that ye fail not to do this: why should damage grow to the hurt of the kings? |
Gardez-vous de manquer à faire cela : pourquoi le dommage augmenterait-il au préjudice des rois ? |

Now when the copy of king Artaxerxes’ letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem unto the Jews, and made them to cease by force and power. |
Alors, aussitôt que la copie de la lettre du roi Artaxerxès eut été lue devant Rehum et Shimshaï, le secrétaire, et leurs collègues, ils allèrent en hâte à Jérusalem vers les Juifs, et les firent cesser par force et par puissance. |

As soon as the copy of king Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum, and Shimshai the scribe, and their companions, they went up in haste to Jerusalem to the Jews, and made them cease by force and power. |

Then ceased the work of the house of God which is at Jerusalem. So it ceased unto the second year of the reign of Darius king of Persia. |
Alors le travail de la maison de Dieuh qui est à Jérusalem cessa ; et il fut arrêté jusqu'à la seconde année du règne de Dariusi, roi de Perse. j |

Entonces cesó la obra de la casa de Dios que estaba en Jerusalén, y quedó suspendida hasta el año segundo del reinado de Darío rey de Persia. |
