| 1 | Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. | ☆ Et quand ces choses furent terminées, les chefs s'approchèrent de moi, en disant : Le peuple d'Israël, et les sacrificateurs et les lévites, ne se sont pas séparés des peuples des pays, quant à leurs abominations, [savoir] celles des Cananéens, des Héthiens, des Phéréziens, des Jébusiens, des Ammonites, des Moabites, des Égyptiens, et des Amoréens, | Now when these things were completed, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites; | Acabadas estas cosas, los príncipes vinieron a mí, diciendo: El pueblo de Israel y los sacerdotes y levitas no se han separado de los pueblos de las tierras, de los cananeos, heteos, ferezeos, jebuseos, amonitas, moabitas, egipcios y amorreos, y hacen conforme a sus abominaciones. | |
| 2 | For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass. | car ils ont pris de leurs filles pour eux et pour leurs fils, et ont mêlé la semence sainte avec les peuples des pays ; et la main des chefs et des gouverneursa a été la première dans ce péchéb. | for they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, and have mingled the holy seed with the peoples of the lands; and the hand of the princes and rulers has been chief in this unfaithfulness. | Porque han tomado de las hijas de ellos para sí y para sus hijos, y el linaje santo ha sido mezclado con los pueblos de las tierras; y la mano de los príncipes y de los gobernadores ha sido la primera en cometer este pecado. | |

| 4 | Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice. | et vers moi s'assemblèrent tous ceux qui tremblaient aux paroles du Dieu d'Israël, à cause du péché de ceux qui avaient été transportés ; et je restai assis, désolé, jusqu'à l'offrande du soir. | Then were assembled to me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the unfaithfulness of those that had been carried away; and I sat overwhelmed until the evening oblation. | Y se me juntaron todos los que temían las palabras del Dios de Israel, a causa de la prevaricación de los del cautiverio; mas yo estuve muy angustiado hasta la hora del sacrificio de la tarde. | |
| 5 | And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the Lord my God, | Et lors de l'offrande du soir, je me levai de mon humiliation, et, mon manteau et ma robe déchirés, je m'agenouillai, et j'étendis mes mains vers l'Éternel mon Dieu, | And at the evening oblation I arose up from my humiliation; and with my mantle and my garment rent, I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to Jehovah my God, | Y a la hora del sacrificio de la tarde me levanté de mi aflicción, y habiendo rasgado mi vestido y mi manto, me postré de rodillas, y extendí mis manos a Jehová mi Dios, | |
| 6 | And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens. | et je dis : Mon Dieu, je suis confus, et j'ai honte de lever ma face vers toi, ô mon Dieu ; car nos iniquités se sont multipliées par-dessus nos têtes, et notre coulpe a grandi jusqu'aux cieux. | and said: O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God; for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up to the heavens. | y dije: Dios mío, confuso y avergonzado estoy para levantar, oh Dios mío, mi rostro a ti, porque nuestras iniquidades se han multiplicado sobre nuestra cabeza, y nuestros delitos han crecido hasta el cielo. |

| 7 | Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day. | Dès les jours de nos pères jusqu'à ce jour, nous avons été grandement coupables ; et à cause de nos iniquités, nous, nos rois, nos sacrificateurs, nous avons été livrés en la main des rois des pays, à l'épée, à la captivité, et au pillage, et à la confusion de face, comme [il paraît] aujourd'hui ; | Since the days of our fathers, we have been in great trespass to this day; and for our iniquities we, our kings, our priests, have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, and to captivity, and to spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day. | Desde los días de nuestros padres hasta este día hemos vivido en gran pecado; y por nuestras iniquidades nosotros, nuestros reyes y nuestros sacerdotes hemos sido entregados en manos de los reyes de las tierras, a espada, a cautiverio, a robo, y a vergüenza que cubre nuestro rostro, como hoy día. | |
| 8 | And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage. | et maintenant, pour un moment, nous est arrivée une faveur de la part de l'Éternel notre Dieu, pour nous laisser des réchappés et pour nous donner un clouc dans son saint lieu, afin que notre Dieu éclaire nos yeux et nous redonne un peu de vie dans notre servitude, car nous sommes serviteurs ; | And now for a little space there hath been favour from Jehovah our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage. | Y ahora por un breve momento ha habido misericordia de parte de Jehová nuestro Dios, para hacer que nos quedase un remanente libre, y para darnos un lugar seguro en su santuario, a fin de alumbrar nuestro Dios nuestros ojos y darnos un poco de vida en nuestra servidumbre. | |
| 9 | For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem. | mais, dans notre servitude, notre Dieu ne nous a pas abandonnés, et il a étendu sa bonté sur nous devant les rois de Perse, afin de nous redonner de la vie pour élever la maison de notre Dieu et pour restaurer ses ruines, et pour nous donner des murs en Juda et à Jérusalem. | For we are bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us before the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God and to repair the ruins thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem. | Porque siervos somos; mas en nuestra servidumbre no nos ha desamparado nuestro Dios, sino que inclinó sobre nosotros su misericordia delante de los reyes de Persia, para que se nos diese vida para levantar la casa de nuestro Dios y restaurar sus ruinas, y darnos protección en Judá y en Jerusalén. | |

| 11 | Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness. | que tu as commandés par tes serviteurs les prophètes, en disant : Le pays dans lequel vous entrez pour le posséder, est un pays rendu impur par l'impureté des peuples des pays, par les abominations dont ils l'ont rempli d'un bout à l'autre par leurs souillures. | which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it , is an unclean land through the filthiness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations with which they have filled it from one end to another through their uncleanness. | que prescribiste por medio de tus siervos los profetas, diciendo: La tierra a la cual entráis para poseerla, tierra inmunda es a causa de la inmundicia de los pueblos de aquellas regiones, por las abominaciones de que la han llenado de uno a otro extremo con su inmundicia. | |
| 12 | Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever. | Et maintenant, ne donnez pas vos filles à leurs fils, et ne prenez pas leurs filles pour vos fils, et ne cherchez pas leur paix ou leur bien, à jamais, afin que vous soyez forts, et que vous mangiez les biensd du pays, et que vous les laissiez en possession à vos fils à toujours. | Now therefore give not your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity for ever; that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever. | Ahora, pues, no daréis vuestras hijas a los hijos de ellos, ni sus hijas tomaréis para vuestros hijos,a ni procuraréis jamás su paz ni su prosperidad; para que seáis fuertes y comáis el bien de la tierra, y la dejéis por heredad a vuestros hijos para siempre. | |
| 13 | And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this; | Et après tout ce qui nous est arrivé à cause de nos mauvaises œuvres et à cause de notre grand péchée… ; mais toi, notre Dieu, tu nous as moins punisf que ne méritaient nos iniquités, et tu nous as donné une délivrance comme celle-ci ; | And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve , and hast given us such deliverance as this, | Mas después de todo lo que nos ha sobrevenido a causa de nuestras malas obras, y a causa de nuestro gran pecado, ya que tú, Dios nuestro, no nos has castigado de acuerdo con nuestras iniquidades, y nos diste un remanente como este, | |
| 14 | Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping? | — est-ce que nous retournerions à enfreindre tes commandements et à nous allier par mariage avec les peuples qui fontg ces abominations ? Ne serais-tu pas courroucé contre nous jusqu'à nous consumer, en sorte qu'il n'y aurait ni reste ni réchappés ? | should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the peoples of these abominations? wouldest thou not be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor any to escape? | ¿hemos de volver a infringir tus mandamientos, y a emparentar con pueblos que cometen estas abominaciones? ¿No te indignarías contra nosotros hasta consumirnos, sin que quedara remanente ni quien escape? | |
| 15 | O Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this. | Éternel, Dieu d'Israël, tu es juste, car nous sommes un reste de réchappés, comme [il paraît] aujourd'hui. Nous voici devant toi dans notre culpabilité, car, à cause de cela, on ne peut se tenir devant toi. | Jehovah, God of Israel, thou art righteous; for we are a remnant that is escaped, as it is this day. Behold, we are before thee in our trespasses; for there is no standing before thee because of this. | Oh Jehová Dios de Israel, tú eres justo, puesto que hemos quedado un remanente que ha escapado, como en este día. Henos aquí delante de ti en nuestros delitos; porque no es posible estar en tu presencia a causa de esto. |
