And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord. |
☆ aEt il arriva, en la quatre cent quatre-vingtième année après la sortie des fils d'Israël du pays d'Égypte, en la quatrième année du règne de Salomon sur Israël, au mois de Ziv, qui est le second mois, que [Salomon] bâtit la maison de l'Éternel. |

And the house which king Solomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits. |

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house. |

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about: |
Et il bâtit, contre le mur de la maison, des étages à l'entour, contre les murs de la maison à l'entour du temple et de l'oracle ; et il fit des chambres latérales à l'entour. |

The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house. |
L'étage inférieur avait cinq coudées de largeur, et celui du milieu six coudées de largeur, et le troisième sept coudées de largeur ; car il fit des retraites dans [l'épaisseur du mur de] la maison, tout à l'entour, en dehors, afin que [la charpente] n'entrât pas dansd les murs de la maison. |

The lowest floor was five cubits broad, and the middle one was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad; for in the thickness of the wall of the house he made resets round about outside, that nothing should be fastened in the walls of the house. |

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building. |
Et la maison, quand on la bâtit, fut bâtie de pierre entièrement préparée avant d'être transportéee ; et on n'entendit ni marteaux, ni hache, aucun instrument de fer, dans la maison, quand on la bâtit. |

And the house, when it was being built, was built of stone entirely made ready before it was brought thither; so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house while it was being built. |
Y cuando se edificó la casa, la fabricaron de piedras que traían ya acabadas, de tal manera que cuando la edificaban, ni martillos ni hachas se oyeron en la casa, ni ningún otro instrumento de hierro. |

The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third. |
L'entrée des chambres latérales [de l'étage] du milieu était du côté droit de la maison ; et on montait par un escalier tournant à [l'étage] du milieu, et de celui du milieu au troisième. |

The entrance to the side-chambers of the middle floor was in the right side of the house; and they went up by winding stairs into the middle floor , and out of the middle into the third. |
La puerta del aposento de en medio estaba al lado derecho de la casa; y se subía por una escalera de caracol al de en medio, y del aposento de en medio al tercero. |

Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father: |
Quant à cette maison que tu bâtis, si tu marches dans mes statuts, et que tu pratiques mes ordonnancesg, et que tu gardes tous mes commandements, pour y marcher, j'accomplirai à ton égard ma parole, que j'ai dite à David, ton père ; |

As to this house which thou art building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and practise mine ordinances, and keep all my commandments to walk in them, then will I perform my word as to thee which I spoke unto David thy father; |
Con relación a esta casa que tú edificas, si anduvieres en mis estatutos e hicieres mis decretos, y guardares todos mis mandamientos andando en ellos, yo cumpliré contigo mi palabra que hablé a David tu padre; |

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel. |
et je demeurerai au milieu des fils d'Israël, et je n'abandonnerai pas mon peuple Israël. |

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir. |

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house to the walls of the roof; he overlaid them on the inside with wood, and overlaid the floor of the house with boards of cypress. |
Y cubrió las paredes de la casa con tablas de cedro, revistiéndola de madera por dentro, desde el suelo de la casa hasta las vigas de la techumbre; cubrió también el pavimento con madera de ciprés. |

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place. |
Et il revêtith de planches de cèdre, tant le sol que les mursi, les vingt coudées du fond de la maison ; et il les revêtith par dedansj, pour [être] l'oracle, le lieu très-saintk. |

And he built twenty cubits of the innermost part of the house, both floor and walls, with boards of cedar; and he built them for it within, to be the oracle, the most holy place. |

And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar. |
Et l'intérieur de l'oracle était de vingt coudées en longueur, et de vingt coudées en largeur, et de vingt coudées en hauteur ; et il le recouvrit d'or pur ; il [en] recouvrit aussi l'autel de cèdrel. |

El lugar santísimo estaba en la parte de adentro, el cual tenía veinte codos de largo, veinte de ancho, y veinte de altura; y lo cubrió de oro purísimo; asimismo cubrió de oro el altar de cedro. |

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. |
Et Salomon recouvrit d'or pur la maison, au dedans. Et il ferma avec des chaînes d'or l'oracle, par devant, et le recouvrit d'or. |

And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits. |
Et une aile d'un chérubin avait cinq coudées, et l'autre aile du chérubin avait cinq coudées : dix coudées d'un bout de ses ailes jusqu'à l'autre bout de ses ailes ; |

The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees. |

And he also made for the doorway of the temple posts of olive-wood, of the fourth part of the breadth of the house . |
Igualmente hizo a la puerta del templo postes cuadrados de madera de olivo. |

And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. |
et deux battants en bois de cyprès ; les deux vantaux de l'un des battants tournaient sur eux-mêmes, et les deux vantaux de l'autre battant tournaient sur eux-mêmes. |

And the two folding-doors were of cypress-wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. |
Pero las dos puertas eran de madera de ciprés; y las dos hojas de una puerta giraban, y las otras dos hojas de la otra puerta también giraban. |

And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work. |
Et il sculpta [dessus] des chérubins et des palmiers, et des fleurs entr'ouvertes, et recouvrit [le tout] avec de l'or appliqué sur la sculpture. |

In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the Lord laid, in the month Zif: |

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it. |
et la onzième année, au mois de Bul, qui est le huitième mois, la maison fut achevée dans toutes ses parties et selon toute l'ordonnance à son égard. Et [Salomon] la bâtit en sept ans. |

and in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished in all its parts, and according to all the fashion of it. So he was seven years in building it. |
Y en el undécimo año, en el mes de Bul, que es el mes octavo, fue acabada la casa con todas sus dependencias, y con todo lo necesario. La edificó, pues, en siete años. |
