| 10 | And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. | Et il dit : J'ai été très-jaloux pour l'Éternel, le Dieu des armées ; car les fils d'Israël ont abandonné ton alliance ; ils ont renversé tes autels et ils ont tué tes prophètes par l'épée, et je suis resté, moi seul, et ils cherchent ma vie pour me l'ôter. | And he said, I have been very jealous for Jehovah the God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I am left, I alone, and they seek my life, to take it away. | Él respondió: He sentido un vivo celo por Jehová Dios de los ejércitos; porque los hijos de Israel han dejado tu pacto, han derribado tus altares, y han matado a espada a tus profetas; y sólo yo he quedado, y me buscan para quitarme la vida.a | |
| 11 | And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: | Et il dit : Sors, et tiens-toi sur la montagne devant l'Éternel. Et voici, l'Éternel passa, et devant l'Éternel un grand vent impétueux déchirait les montagnes et brisait les rochers : l'Éternel n'était pas dans le vent. Et après le vent, un tremblement de terre : l'Éternel n'était pas dans le tremblement de terre. | And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before Jehovah. | 12 | And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. | Et après le tremblement de terre, du feu : l'Éternel n'était pas dans le feu. | 13 | And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. | 15 | And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria: | Et l'Éternel lui dit : Va, retourne par ton chemin, vers le désert de Damas, et quand tu seras arrivé, tu oindras Hazaël pour qu'il soit roi sur la Syrie ; | And Jehovah said to him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus; and when thou comest, anoint Hazael king over Syria; | Y le dijo Jehová: Ve, vuélvete por tu camino, por el desierto de Damasco; y llegarás, y ungirás a Hazael por rey de Siria.c | |
| 16 | And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel–meholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. | et Jéhu, fils de Nimshi, tu l'oindras pour qu'il soit roi sur Israël, et tu oindras Élisée, fils de Shaphath, d'Abel-Mehola, pour qu'il soit prophète à ta place. | and Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah shalt thou anoint prophet in thy stead. | A Jehú hijo de Nimsi ungirás por rey sobre Israel;d y a Eliseo hijo de Safat, de Abel-mehola, ungirás para que sea profeta en tu lugar. | |
| 17 | And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. | Et il arrivera que celui qui échappera à l'épée de Hazaël, Jéhu le fera mourir ; et celui qui échappera à l'épée de Jéhu, Élisée le fera mourir. | And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay; and him that escapeth the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. | Y el que escapare de la espada de Hazael, Jehú lo matará; y el que escapare de la espada de Jehú, Eliseo lo matará. | |

| 19 | So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. | Et il s'en alla de là, et trouva Élisée, fils de Shaphath ; et il labourait avec douze paires [de bœufs] devant lui, et lui était avec la douzième. Et Élie passa vers lui et jeta son manteau sur lui. | And he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was ploughing with twelve yokes before him, and he with the twelfth; and Elijah went over to him, and cast his mantle on him. | Partiendo él de allí, halló a Eliseo hijo de Safat, que araba con doce yuntas delante de sí, y él tenía la última. | 20 | And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? | Et il abandonna les bœufs, et courut après Élie, et dit : Que je baise, je te prie, mon père et ma mère, et je m'en irai après toi. Et il lui dit : Va, retourne ; car que t'ai-je fait ? | And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and I will follow thee. And he said to him, Go back again; for what have I done to thee? | Entonces dejando él los bueyes, vino corriendo en pos de Elías, y dijo: Te ruego que me dejes besar a mi padre y a mi madre, y luego te seguiré. Y él le dijo: Ve, vuelve; ¿qué te he hecho yo? | |
| 21 | And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him. | Et il s'en retourna d'auprès de lui, et prit la paire de bœufs, et en fit un sacrificeb ; et, avec le harnachement des bœufs, il fit cuire leur chair et la donna au peuple, et ils mangèrent ; et il se leva et s'en alla après Élie ; et il le servait. | And he returned back from him, and took the yoke of oxen, and killed them, and boiled their flesh with the implements of the oxen, and gave to the people, and they ate. And he arose and went after Elijah, and ministered to him. | Y se volvió, y tomó un par de bueyes y los mató, y con el arado de los bueyes coció la carne, y la dio al pueblo para que comiesen. Después se levantó y fue tras Elías, y le servía. |
