Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. |
Au reste donc, frères, nous vous prions et nous vous exhortons par le seigneur Jésus, pour que, comme vous avez reçu de nous de quelle manière il faut que vous marchiez et plaisiez à Dieu, comme aussi vous marchez, vous y abondiez de plus en plus. |
Por lo demás, hermanos, os rogamos y exhortamos en el Señor Jesús, que de la manera que aprendisteis de nosotros cómo debéis andar y agradar a Dios (y es así como andáis), que abundéis más. |
For the rest, then, brethren, we beg you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, even as ye have received from us how ye ought to walk and please God, even as ye also do walk, that ye would abound still more. |

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: |

Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: |

(not in passionate desire, even as the nations who know not God,) |

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. |
que personne ne circonvienne son frère ni ne lui fasse tort dans l'affaire, parce que le Seigneur est le vengeur de toutes ces choses, comme aussi nous vous l'avons dit précédemment et affirmé. |
que nadie se sobrepase y defraude a su hermano en este asunto; porque el Señor es el vengador acerca de todas estas cosas, como también os lo dijimos y testificamos con antelación. |
not overstepping the rights of and wronging his brother in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all these things, even as we also told you before, and have fully testified. |
que ninguno agravie ni engañe en nada a su hermano; porque el Señor es vengador de todo esto, como ya os hemos dicho y testificado. |

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. |
Car Dieu ne nous a pas appelés à l'impureté, mais dans la sainteté. |
Porque no nos ha llamado Dios a impureza, sino a santificación. |
For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification. |
Pues no nos ha llamado Dios a inmundicia, sino a santificación. |

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. |
C'est pourquoi celui qui méprise, ne méprise pas l'homme, mais Dieu, qui vous a aussi donné son Esprit Saint. |
Por tanto, el que esto rechaza, no rechaza al hombre, sino a Dios que os da su Espíritu Santo. |
He therefore that in this disregards his brother , disregards, not man, but God, who has given also his Holy Spirit to you. |

But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. |

Now concerning brotherly love ye have no need that we should write to you, for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. |

And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; |
car aussi c'est ce que vous faites à l'égard de tous les frères qui sont dans toute la Macédoine ; mais nous vous exhortons, frères, à y abonder de plus en plus, |
porque en verdad lo hacéis para con todos los hermanos en toda Macedonia. Pero os exhortamos, hermanos, a que abundéis más; |
For also ye do this towards all the brethren in the whole of Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, to abound still more, |
y también lo hacéis así con todos los hermanos que están por toda Macedonia. Pero os rogamos, hermanos, que abundéis en ello más y más; |

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; |
et à vous appliquer à vivre paisiblement, à faire vos propres affaires et à travailler de vos propresa mains, ainsi que nous vous l'avons ordonné, |
y que os apliquéis a vivir apaciblemente, a ocuparos de vuestros asuntos, a trabajar con vuestras manos, como os lo encargamos; |
and to seek earnestly to be quiet and mind your own affairs, and work with your own hands, even as we charged you, |
y que procuréis tener tranquilidad, y ocuparos en vuestros negocios, y trabajar con vuestras manos de la manera que os hemos mandado, |

That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing. |
afin que vous marchiez honorablement envers ceux de dehors et que vous n'ayez besoin de personneb. |
para que andéis honestamente para con los de afuera, y no tengáis necesidad de nadie. |
that ye may walk reputably towards those without, and may have need of no one. |
a fin de que os conduzcáis honradamente para con los de afuera, y no tengáis necesidad de nada. |

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. |
Or nous ne voulons pas, frères, que vous soyez dans l'ignorance à l'égard de ceux qui dorment, afin que vous ne soyez pas affligés comme les autres qui n'ont pas d'espérance. |
No queremos que ignoréis, hermanos, acerca de los que duermen, para que no os entristezcáis como los demás que no tienen esperanza. |
But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are fallen asleep, to the end that ye be not grieved even as also the rest who have no hope. |
Tampoco queremos, hermanos, que ignoréis acerca de los que duermen, para que no os entristezcáis como los otros que no tienen esperanza. |

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. |
Car si nous croyons que Jésus mourut et qu'il est ressuscité, de même aussi, avec lui, Dieu amènera ceux qui se sont endormis parc Jésus. |
Porque si creemos que Jesús murió y resucitó, así también Dios traerá con él a los que durmieron en Jesús. |
For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. |

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. |
(Car nous vous disons ceci par la parole du Seigneur : que nous, les vivants, qui demeurons jusqu'à la venue du Seigneur, nous ne devancerons aucunement ceux qui se sont endormis. |
Porque esto os lo decimos por palabra del Señor: Que nosotros los que vivimos, los que quedemos hasta el advenimiento del Señor, de ninguna manera precederemos a los que durmieron; |
(For this we say to you in the word of the Lord, that *we*, the living, who remain to the coming of the Lord, are in no way to anticipate those who have fallen asleep; |
Por lo cual os decimos esto en palabra del Señor: que nosotros que vivimos, que habremos quedado hasta la venida del Señor, no precederemos a los que durmieron. |

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: |
Car le Seigneur lui-même, avec un cri de commandementd, avec une voix d'archangee, et avec [la] trompette de Dieu, descendra du ciel ; et les morts en Christ ressusciteront premièrement ; |
porque el Señor mismo con voz de mando, con voz de arcángel y con trompeta de Dios, descenderá del cielo, y los muertos en Cristo resucitarán primero. |
for the Lord himself, with an assembling shout, with archangel's voice and with trump of God, shall descend from heaven; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; |
Porque el Señor mismo con voz de mando, con voz de arcángel, y con trompeta de Dios, descenderá del cielo; y los muertos en Cristo resucitarán primero. |

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. |
puis nous, les vivants qui demeurons, nous serons ravis ensemble avec eux dans les nuées à la rencontre du Seigneur, en l'air ; et ainsi nous serons toujours avec le Seigneur. |
Luego nosotros, los que vivamos, los que quedamos, seremos arrebatados con ellos en las nubes para el encuentro del Señor en el aire; y así estaremos siempre con el Señor. |
then *we*, the living who remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall be always with the Lord. |
Luego nosotros los que vivimos, los que hayamos quedado, seremos arrebatados juntamente con ellos en las nubes para recibir al Señor en el aire, y así estaremos siempre con el Señor.a |
