My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. |

For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; |

Porque si entra en vuestro local de reunión un hombre con anillo de oro y ropa lujosa, y también entra un pobre con vestido andrajoso, |

And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: |

and ye look upon him who wears the splendid apparel, and say, Do thou sit here well, and say to the poor, Do thou stand there, or sit here under my footstool: |

Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? |
n'avez-vous pas fait une distinction en vous-mêmesb, et n'êtes-vous pas devenus des juges ayant de mauvaises pensées ? |
¿no hacéis diferencias entre vosotros mismos y os hacéis jueces de malos pensamientos? |
have ye not made a difference among yourselves, and become judges having evil thoughts? |

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? |
Écoutez, mes frères bien-aimés : Dieu n'a-t-il pas choisi les pauvres quant au monde, riches en foi et héritiers du royaume qu'il a promis à ceux qui l'aiment ? |
Oíd, amados hermanos míos: ¿No eligió Dios a los pobres según el mundo, para ser ricos en fe y herederos del reino que prometió a los que le aman? |
Hear, my beloved brethren: Has not God chosen the poor as to the world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to them that love him? |

But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? |
Mais vous, vous avez méprisé le pauvre. Les riches ne vous oppriment-ils pas, et ne sont-ce pas eux qui vous tirent devant les tribunaux ? |
Pero vosotros despreciasteis al pobre. ¿No os oprimen los ricos y os arrastran ante los tribunales? |
But *ye* have despised the poor man . Do not the rich oppress you, and do not *they* drag you before the tribunals? |

Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? |

If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: |
Si en effet vous accomplissez la loi royale, selonc l'écriture : «Tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-même» [Lévitique 19:18], vous faites bien ; |

But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. |

But if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. |

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. |
Car quiconque gardera toute la loi et faillira en un seul point, est coupable sur tous. |
Porque el que guarda toda la ley, pero falta en un solo precepto, se hace culpable de todos. |
For whoever shall keep the whole law and shall offend in one point , he has come under the guilt of breaking all. |

For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. |
Car celui qui a dit : «Tu ne commettras pas adultère», a dit aussi : «Tu ne tueras pas»d. Or si tu ne commets pas adultère, mais que tu tues, tu es devenu transgresseur de [la] loi. |
Porque el que dijo: No cometerás adulterio, también dijo: No matarás. Ahora bien, si no cometes adulterio, pero matas, te has hecho transgresor de la ley. |
For he who said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also, Thou shalt not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become transgressor of the law. |

For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. |
car le jugement est sans miséricorde pour celui qui n'a pas usé de miséricorde. La miséricorde se glorifie vis-à-vis due jugement. |

for judgment will be without mercy to him that has shewn no mercy. Mercy glories over judgment. |

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? |
Mes frères, quel profit y a-t-il si quelqu'un dit qu'il a la foi, et qu'il n'ait pas d'œuvres ? La foi peut-elle le sauver ? |

What is the profit, my brethren, if any one say he have faith, but have not works? can faith save him? |

And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? |
et que quelqu'un d'entre vous leur dise : Allez en paix, chauffez-vous et rassasiez-vous, — et que vous ne leur donniez pas les choses nécessaires pour le corps, quel profit y a-t-il ? |
y uno de vosotros le dice: Id en paz, calentaos y saciaos, pero no les da lo necesario para el cuerpo, ¿de qué les aprovecha? |
