1 How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger! Comment, dans sa colère, le Seigneur a-t-il couvert d'un nuage la fille de Sion ! Il a jeté des cieux sur la terre la beauté d'Israël, et, au jour de sa colère, il ne s'est pas souvenu du marchepied de ses pieds. How hath the Lord in his anger covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud! He hath cast down from the heavens unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger. ¡Cómo oscureció el Señor en su furor a la hija de Sion!
Derribó del cielo a la tierra la hermosura de Israel,
Y no se acordó del estrado de sus pies en el día de su furor.
2 The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof. Le Seigneur a englouti, sans épargner, toutes les habitations de Jacob ; il a renversé dans sa fureur les forteresses de la fille de Juda ; il a jeté par terre, il a profané le royaume et ses princes. The Lord hath swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob, and hath not spared; he hath thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah: he hath brought them down to the ground; he hath profaned the kingdom and the princes thereof. Destruyó el Señor, y no perdonó;
Destruyó en su furor todas las tiendas de Jacob;
Echó por tierra las fortalezas de la hija de Judá,
Humilló al reino y a sus príncipes.
3 He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about. Il a retranché, dans l'ardeur de sa colère, toute la corne d'Israël ; il a retiré sa droite devant l'ennemi, et il a brûlé en Jacob comme un feu flamboyant qui dévore à l'entour. He hath cut off in fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath withdrawn his right hand from before the enemy; and he burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, devouring round about. Cortó con el ardor de su ira todo el poderío de Israel;
Retiró de él su diestra frente al enemigo,
Y se encendió en Jacob como llama de fuego que ha devorado alrededor.
4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire. Il a bandé son arc comme un ennemi ; il s'est tenu là avec sa droite comme un adversaire, et il a tué tout ce qui était agréable à l'œil dans la tente de la fille de Sion ; il a versé, comme un feu, sa fureur. He hath bent his bow like an enemy; he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and hath slain all that was pleasant to the eye: in the tent of the daughter of Zion, he hath poured out his fury like fire. Entesó su arco como enemigo, afirmó su mano derecha como adversario,
Y destruyó cuanto era hermoso.
En la tienda de la hija de Sion derramó como fuego su enojo.
5 The Lord was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation. Le Seigneur a été comme un ennemi ; il a englouti Israël ; il a englouti tous ses palais, il a détruit ses forteresses, et il a multiplié chez la fille de Juda le gémissement et la plainte. The Lord is become as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Israel; he hath swallowed up all her palaces; he hath destroyed his strongholds, and hath multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation. El Señor llegó a ser como enemigo, destruyó a Israel;
Destruyó todos sus palacios, derribó sus fortalezas,
Y multiplicó en la hija de Judá la tristeza y el lamento.
6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the Lord hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest. Il a saccagé sa clôture comme un jardin ; il a détruit le lieu de son assemblée. L'Éternel a fait oublier dans Sion jour solennel et sabbat ; et, dans l'indignation de sa colère, il a méprisé roi et sacrificateur. And he hath violently cast down his enclosure as a garden; he hath destroyed his place of assembly: Jehovah hath caused set feast and sabbath to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger king and priest. Quitó su tienda como enramada de huerto;
Destruyó el lugar en donde se congregaban;
Jehová ha hecho olvidar las fiestas solemnes y los días de reposoa en Sion,
Y en el ardor de su ira ha desechado al rey y al sacerdote.
7 The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the Lord, as in the day of a solemn feast. Le Seigneur a rejeté son autel, il a répudié son sanctuaire ; il a livré en la main de l'ennemi les murs de ses palais ; on a poussé des cris dans la maison de l'Éternel comme au jour d'une fête solennelle. The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath rejected his sanctuary; he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces: they have made a noise in the house of Jehovah, as on the day of a set feast. Desechó el Señor su altar, menospreció su santuario;
Ha entregado en mano del enemigo los muros de sus palacios;
Hicieron resonar su voz en la casa de Jehová como en día de fiesta.
8 The Lord hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together. L'Éternel s'est proposé de détruire la muraille de la fille de Sion ; il a étendu le cordeau, il n'a pas retiré sa main pour cesser de détruirea ; et il fait mener deuil au rempart et à la muraille : ils languissent ensemble. Jehovah hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out the line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying; and he hath made the rampart and the wall to lament: they languish together. Jehová determinó destruir el muro de la hija de Sion;
Extendió el cordel, no retrajo su mano de la destrucción;
Hizo, pues, que se lamentara el antemuro y el muro; fueron desolados juntamente.
9 Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the Lord. Ses portes sont enfoncées dans la terre ; il a détruit et brisé ses barres ; son roi et ses princes sont parmi les nations ; la loi n'est plus ; ses prophètes aussi ne trouvent pas de vision de la part de l'Éternel. Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations: the law is no more ; her prophets also find no vision from Jehovah. Sus puertas fueron echadas por tierra, destruyó y quebrantó sus cerrojos;
Su rey y sus príncipes están entre las naciones donde no hay ley;
Sus profetas tampoco hallaron visión de Jehová.
10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground. Les anciens de la fille de Sion sont assis par terre, ils gardent le silence ; ils ont mis de la poussière sur leur tête, ils se sont ceints de sacs ; les vierges de Jérusalem baissent leur tête vers la terre. The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, they keep silence; they have cast dust upon their heads, they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their head to the ground. Se sentaron en tierra, callaron los ancianos de la hija de Sion;
Echaron polvo sobre sus cabezas, se ciñeron de cilicio;
Las vírgenes de Jerusalén bajaron sus cabezas a tierra.
11 Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city. ✱ Mes yeux se consument dans les larmes, mes entrailles sont agitées, mon foie s'est répandu sur la terre, à cause de la ruine de la fille de mon peuple, parce que les enfants et ceux qui tètent défaillent dans les places de la ville. Mine eyes are consumed with tears, my bowels are troubled; my liver is poured upon the earth, because of the ruin of the daughter of my people; because infant and suckling swoon in the streets of the city. Mis ojos desfallecieron de lágrimas, se conmovieron mis entrañas,
Mi hígado se derramó por tierra a causa del quebrantamiento de la hija de mi pueblo,
Cuando desfallecía el niño y el que mamaba, en las plazas de la ciudad.
12 They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers’ bosom. Ils disent à leurs mères : Où est le blé et le vin ? — défaillant dans les places de la ville comme des blessés à mort, [et] rendant l'âme sur le sein de leurs mères. They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swoon as the wounded in the streets of the city; when they pour out their soul into their mothers' bosom. Decían a sus madres: ¿Dónde está el trigo y el vino?
Desfallecían como heridos en las calles de la ciudad,
Derramando sus almas en el regazo de sus madres.
13 What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee? Quel témoignage t'apporterai-je ? Que comparerai-je à toi, fille de Jérusalem ? Qui est-ce que j'égalerai à toi, afin que je te console, vierge, fille de Sion ? car ta ruine est grande comme la mer : qui te guérira ? What shall I take to witness for thee? what shall I liken unto thee, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, virgin daughter of Zion? For thy ruin is great as the sea: who will heal thee? ¿Qué testigo te traeré, o a quién te haré semejante, hija de Jerusalén?
¿A quién te compararé para consolarte, oh virgen hija de Sion?
Porque grande como el mar es tu quebrantamiento; ¿quién te sanará?
14 Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment. Tes prophètes ont vu pour toi la vanité et la folie, et ils n'ont pas mis à découvert ton iniquité pour détourner ta captivité ; mais ils ont vu pour toi des oracles de vanité et de séductionb. Thy prophets have seen vanity and folly for thee; and they have not revealed thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee burdens of falsehood and causes of expulsion. Tus profetas vieron para ti vanidad y locura;
Y no descubrieron tu pecado para impedir tu cautiverio,
Sino que te predicaron vanas profecías y extravíos.
15 All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth? Tous ceux qui passent par le chemin battent des mains sur toi ; ils sifflent et branlent la tête sur la fille de Jérusalem : Est-ce ici la ville dont on disait : La parfaite en beauté, la joie de toute la terre ? All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and shake their head at the daughter of Jerusalem: Is this the city which they called, The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth? Todos los que pasaban por el camino batieron las manos sobre ti;
Silbaron, y movieron despectivamente sus cabezas sobre la hija de Jerusalén, diciendo:
¿Es esta la ciudad que decían de perfecta hermosura, el gozo de toda la tierra?
16 All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it. Tous tes ennemis ouvrent la bouche sur toi ; ils sifflent et grincent des dents ; ils disent : Nous les avons engloutis ; oui, c'est ici le jour que nous attendions ! Nous l'avons trouvé, nous l'avons vu ! All thine enemies open their mouth against thee, they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up; this is forsooth the day that we looked for: we have found, we have seen it . Todos tus enemigos abrieron contra ti su boca;
Se burlaron, y crujieron los dientes; dijeron: Devorémosla;
Ciertamente este es el día que esperábamos; lo hemos hallado, lo hemos visto.
17 The Lord hath done that which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused thine enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries. L'Éternel a fait ce qu'il s'était proposé, il a accompli sa parole qu'il avait commandéec dès les jours d'autrefois ; il a renversé et n'a point épargné, et il a fait que l'ennemi s'est réjoui sur toi ; il a élevé la corne de tes adversaires. Jehovah hath done what he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word which he had commanded from the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not spared, and he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee; he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries. Jehová ha hecho lo que tenía determinado;
Ha cumplido su palabra, la cual él había mandado desde tiempo antiguo.
Destruyó, y no perdonó;
Y ha hecho que el enemigo se alegre sobre ti,
Y enalteció el poder de tus adversarios.
18 Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease. ✱ Leur cœur a crié au Seigneur. Muraille de la fille de Sion, laisse couler des larmes jour et nuit, comme un torrent ; ne te donne pas de relâche, que la prunelle de tes yeux ne cesse point ! Their heart cried unto the Lord. O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a torrent day and night: give thyself no respite; let not the apple of thine eye rest. El corazón de ellos clamaba al Señor;
Oh hija de Sion, echa lágrimas cual arroyo día y noche;
No descanses, ni cesen las niñas de tus ojos.
19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. Lève-toi, crie de nuit au commencement des veilles ; répands ton cœur comme de l'eau devant la face du Seigneur. Lève tes mains vers lui pour la vie de tes petits enfants qui défaillent de faim au coin de toutes les rues. Arise, cry out in the night, in the beginning of the watches; pour out thy heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, who faint from hunger at the top of all the streets. Levántate, da voces en la noche, al comenzar las vigilias;
Derrama como agua tu corazón ante la presencia del Señor;
Alza tus manos a él implorando la vida de tus pequeñitos,
Que desfallecen de hambre en las entradas de todas las calles.
20 Behold, O Lord, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord? Regarde, Éternel, et considère à qui tu as fait ainsi ! Les femmes dévoreront-elles leur fruit, les petits enfants dont elles prennent soin ? Tuera-t-on le sacrificateur et le prophète dans le sanctuaire du Seigneur ? See, Jehovah, and consider to whom thou hast done this! Shall the women eat their fruit, the infants that they nursed? Shall priest and prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord? Mira, oh Jehová, y considera a quién has hecho así.
¿Han de comer las mujeres el fruto de sus entrañas, los pequeñitos a su tierno cuidado?
¿Han de ser muertos en el santuario del Señor el sacerdote y el profeta?
21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, and not pitied. L'enfant et le vieillard sont couchés par terre dans les rues ; mes vierges et mes jeunes hommes sont tombés par l'épée : tu as tué au jour de ta colère, tu as égorgé, tu n'as point épargné ! The child and the old man lie on the ground in the streets; my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword: thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, thou hast not spared. Niños y viejos yacían por tierra en las calles;
Mis vírgenes y mis jóvenes cayeron a espada;
Mataste en el día de tu furor; degollaste, no perdonaste.
22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the Lord’s anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed. Tu as convoqué, comme en un jour de fête solennelle, mes terreurs de toutes parts ; et au jour de la colère de l'Éternel, il n'y a eu ni réchappé, ni reste : ceux dont j'avais pris soin et que j'avais élevés, mon ennemi les a consumés. Thou hast called up, as on the day of a set feast, my terrors on every side; and in the day of Jehovah's anger there was none that escaped or remained: those that I have nursed and brought up hath mine enemy consumed. Has convocado de todas partes mis temores, como en un día de solemnidad;
Y en el día del furor de Jehová no hubo quien escapase ni quedase vivo;
Los que crie y mantuve, mi enemigo los acabó.
