The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. | Alors ils s'approchèrent et dirent devant le roi, touchant la défense du roi : N'as-tu pas signé une défense, [portant] que tout homme qui, durant trente jours, ferait une demande à quelque dieu ou à quelque homme que ce fût, excepté à toi, ô roi, serait jeté dans la fosse aux lions ?
